Every year, more than 100,000 students participate in this programme. Sponsors appointed by the U.S. State Department are responsible for obtaining a DS-2019 form, which allows you, the student, to apply for the J-1 visa necessary for participation in the programme. The sponsors also assist in finding jobs to cover living expenses, and provide support services while the student is in the U.S..

In turn, the Sponsors appoint country representatives, who confirm eligibility of students, explain and set up expectations of the programme, assist in job and visa application through to travelling to the USA.
