  • The people I met were amazing and they made my experience in the US 10x better. I experienced so many new things here like seeing snow for the first time, learning how to snowboard and ski, working as a barista, walking in -10°C weather in just a t-shirt, learning Spanish words from my friends and much more.

  • We drove together for over 3400 miles, slept in the car, camped in the middle of nowhere, climbed all the highest peak we could find, got stopped by the cops and lost our car keys(that's on me) in an insanely small full sized car, but we still managed to pull it off. Just wanted to give a small shout-out to my fellow hiking-junkie travel mates for a wonderful time in the west coast!

  • I had my first birthday party overseas. Even after a long day of tiring work, my friends still came to celebrate together (some of them were still in their work uniforms!). It’s always important to support each other especially when we are away from home. Luckily for me, I found my family there.

  • During my time at Cedar Point, I’ve learnt to be independent from the people I met there and slowly realized I’m actually not the timid person I thought I was. I didn’t know I would love adventurous activities. I took the courage to just fly alone halfway across the world met amazing friends and people who I’m still in touch with until today.

  • "The bond and relationships I've built with everyone at the YMCA, how work and money is not the utmost important thing but rather having a balanced life and spending time with people around you as much more valuable than anything else in the world. "
